The Secret Place

Dry?
Empty?
Weak?
Shattered?
Quarter to drop dead rock bottom?
Air but no real breathing?
Existing but no intentional and purposeful living?

There is a place.
A secret place.
A place for the broken
A place for the lost
A place for the desperately hungry.

A place that is sought after in the singularity of secrecy.
One man to One God
Doors shut
Windows locked
Network signal off
Spirit tuned in

Just you and Him
Communing as one
Bonding
Establishing an unbreakable and indestructible connection.
A connection  that brings life
A connection that brings light
A connection that brings insight
A connection that brings foresight
A connection that releases destines

In this secretly sought after secret place
Secrets are shared;
The burdens, desires and intentions of the Master being revealed to the Spirit in you to bear witness.
Revelations of perfect love. The relentlessly perfect love that LOVED (and still loves) because of our imperfections, not despite them.
Revelations of things that are yet to come.
Revelations of His nature, all that He embodies and stands for in all its glorious magnificence.

There is the release of the fullness of power.
That courageous, fearless and dauntless power that DARES to DARE what is not TO BE.
That same power that calls ideas into being and that’s just what happens.
They BEcome.
COME to BE all they are supposed to.
BE.

There is freedom without borders.
No shame.
The liberty to come JUST as you are unabashedly;
In your frailty
Shortcomings
Failures
Weaknesses
All that you really are.

There is wisdom.
Wisdom to know.
Be still or move…
Be quiet or speak…
Wage war or be at peace with all men…

There is restoration by grace
Everything that was either taken or mindlessly given away by inadequate consideration.
Your focus
Your love
Your joy of salvation
Your peace in all situations
Your purpose
All being paid back by faith

There is a place
A secret place

Can we count the cost for the deeper call?
Can we cast aside every achievement and robe of self-glorification for the audience of The One?
Can we do the time and enter in so we can come OUT in the bright fullness of everything we ought to BEcome
BEing and living all we have been asked to;
A life poured out.

Withholding absolutely nothing.

Have We Forgotten?

We are here
We are saved
We have the Spirit of God
We are all that we are
By faith.

We must never forget where we came from, and more importantly, HOW.
We get caught up in our new or old found faith sometimes- going through the motions of Christianity but not actually living a spiritually ordered and effective life.

Somehow, along the line- some months or years- after being saved we may (or do) start to think that we can now walk this walk ourselves.
Crying out on bended knees ‘God I need You.’ but really saying with our actions ‘God. I’ve got this. I can do this by the works of my hands. Let me show You.’
After all, actions speak louder than words.

Have we gone through these sufferings and rock-bottom moments for nothing?
Do we need to be continually bashed in the spirit before we finally humble ourselves to confess:
It was NEVER us.
All that we are
All that we hope to be
All that we can boast of
All that we have- starting with the breath we breathe is nothing short of the miraculous SPIRIT of God that is at work in us.
Daily.

We are no longer bound by the chains and weight of the law
Does this mean we will not fall, or we will be perfect?
Does this mean we will not be tempted?

No on all counts.
On the contrary.
The righteous man may fall seven times but guess what?
He will RISE again.

Our shortcomings and failures don't make us any less righteous.
The only laws we strive to keep are those God is writing in our hearts through daily truths and revelation.
And in the days we fail or slack, His grace and mercy prevail over judgement and condemnation.

Case study: Abraham- father of faith, counted as righteous because he believed. Righteous because his heart was willing to give ALL- when he seemingly had everything, including his legacy, to lose.
Knowing as long as God said it, it would be. End of story.
The how, when, what and whys were not dependent on anything he could do.

Abraham got the memo.

He was sure in whom he believed in and no one could take that from him. A faith that stood the test of time. A faith that was able to respond adequately to what each season of life required from him.

Food for thought.
Who is able to give us all that pertains to godliness and righteousness?
Who can give us the tools, resources, enablement, discerning and wisdom to live a truly spiritual life?

The answer doesn't lie in the depth of our willingness, the motions we go through, or the speed of our current run.
It’s in the SPIRIT of God who is working in us.

GREATEST is the One Who Is- who resides in you than the things and storms the world beholds.
